Our Story - Connecting Scotland since 2016
Scottish Business Network was founded in 2016 by Russell Dalgleish and Christine Esson with a simple ambition: to bring the Scottish business community in London together and help Scottish businesses build connections and opportunities in the city.
What started as a local network quickly grew into something much bigger. As more people came together, it became clear that the same willingness to connect, collaborate and help each other existed among Scots and friends of Scotland around the world.
From those early beginnings in London, SBN has grown into a global business community, connecting people across countries, industries and continents.
Today, our ambition remains rooted in that original idea: bringing people together, creating meaningful connections and using the strength of Scotland's global community to open doors to opportunity.
Across the world, there are people with a passion for Scotland, a wealth of experience and a genuine desire to help. Our purpose is to bring those people together and turn that shared connection into something meaningful.
By helping Scottish businesses explore international opportunities, connecting our global community back into Scotland and encouraging people to share their knowledge, experience and connections, we want to make a positive difference to Scotland's future.
